Change an LPG Cylinder
Forklifts are powered by various sources. They could run using liquid propane or LP gas, gasoline, diesel or battery. LP is a clean burning fuel preferred for many applications. There are some facilities that have large liquid propane supplies on site. This enables forklifts to be refueled whenever they require. In other places, the facility will have spare LP cylinders which are able to be changed out when the machinery must be refueled.
When changing out an LP cylinder, you must truly be careful so as to avoid possible serious injuries. Like for instance: be certain to put on the appropriate safety equipment like heavy gloves, goggles or safety glasses. Make sure that you turned off the forklift ignition prior to changing out the tank. Then, close the cylinder valve by turning it until it is closed firmly. Utilize your hand to loosen the hose connection to the tank. Bear in mind that it will turn in the opposite direction of a normal connection and never utilize any kind of wrench or a metal tool on these connections. They are meant to be tightened just by utilizing the hand.
