Telescopic forklifts
Telescopic lift trucks provide versatility and height. These units are equipped with a pronged lift on an arm which extends over the top of the truck. The arm, or crane, is called a telescopic boom. The boom enables the operator to raise the cargo to great heights while maintaining a high degree of control. Regular forklifts aren't able to move the cargo towards and away from the cab of the forklift, while a telescopic forklift allows that movement. The telescopic forklift is commonly used in both agriculture and construction. It is recommended for applications where greater lift and control is necessary.
In cases needing high volume carton handling, hydraulic attachments called forklift carton clamp attachments are recommended. The attachment has arm pads with four way reversible rubber linings that allow the operator to utilize uniform clamping force when picking up a load. It is available with a backrest which protects the loads from damage.
A sleep sheet lift truck would usually use a slip sheet attachment for storing systems which don't utilize pallets. The attachment clamps onto the slip sheet and pulls it onto the forklift forks. This kind of system is useful for overseas shipments and intra-corporate deliveries.
A man basket is a lift platform meant particularly to raise employees. The basket attaches to the forklift forks, held in with a strap or chain that is to be directly secured to the forklift carriage. The platform has railings to protect the staff from falling to the ground. Brackets on the platform are utilized for fastening the safety harness of the worker.
