In order to be a successful model, a forklift needs to be strong enough to last in all working conditions for many hours of use. It must be able to transport loads efficiently and quickly too. The machinery should also be both ergonomically correct and comfortable for the operator.
The Yale powertrain is rugged and reliable. It needs to be powerful enough to continually provide amazing strength through its computer-managed transmission and engine. It provides state-of-the-art clutch packs combined with robust gears and extremely tough shafts. The drive, steer axle, transmission and engine are all isolated to decrease both vibration and noise inside of the operator's compartment.
GM & Mazda LP & Gas Engines:
Mazda's LP engine and GM's gas engines use cast iron blocks to promote long life. These types of equipment offer an electronically-controlled closed loop fuel system that needs minimal adjustment or repair. These engines also have hardened exhaust valve seats that reduce wear.
Yanmar and Cummins Diesel Engines:
Within the Cummins and Yanmar diesel engines, a high compression ratio provides excellent torque. Incredible fuel consumption is offered by efficient fuel systems.
Standard Electronic Powershift Transmission:
The electronic powershift transmission is standard on most machines. It features gears that are 15 percent stronger and shafts which provide resistance when driving on rough terrain. The strong clutch packs provide 3 times the life of preceding packs. Last of all, there is electronic inching available that adjusts automatically in order to decrease maintenance needs by compensating for brake wear.
Techtronix Transmission:
This transmission system uses a computer-controlled power reversal which minimizes shock loading, increases durability and extends tire life. What's more, the auto deceleration feature lessens break pedal usage and break wear.
Drive Axle:
Engineered for extra strength, the drive axle features its full floating, brake drum mounting axle shaft and the strong ring and pinion gears. This part also has optional oil cooled wet disc brakes that are completely sealed against contamination and practically maintenance free.
Steer Axle:
The Steer Axle features a "sandwich" design to be able to protect the steer cylinder from damage and debris. It has fixed-length tie rods to add extra stability and durability. The tapered roller bearings help to resist side-to-side and front to back forces. Also, cast ductile iron axle increases toughness and lessens wear.
Yale had made numerous safety features and ergonomic features part of their standard packages. These equipment will handle tough environments, while keeping the operator both safe and comfortable for the duration of their shift.
