Narrow Aisle Forklift
Utilized to both lower and lift loaded pallets from storage spaces that are high is a narrow aisle forklift. This kind is recommended for work environments with narrow spaces between aisles, like for example retail establishments or warehouses. The forklift has solid rubber, small tires which make maneuvering very simple.
Generally, the operator of this specific type of forklift stands up inside a small cockpit. The stand-up design enables the narrow aisle forklift to be as short and narrow as possible. A stand-up cockpit forklift normally has three tires: one in the back, and two in the front. This configuration allows for fast and easy maneuvering. There are some versions of these forklifts which are available with a sit-down cockpit. The lift attachment can pivot to the sides, allowing the lift to be operated without the operator having to move the whole equipment. The sit-down model usually has four wheels.
Numerous narrow aisle forklifts are powered with an electric engine. Electric-powered machinery do not produce exhaust fumes and are not noisy, making them the suitable choice for closed areas like for instance retail spaces. Several lifts come with a gas engine or a diesel engine. However, the diesel model is not suggested for indoor application since it can be quite noisy and produce exhaust.
