Heavy Forklifts
Hyundai is targeting a new customer base with their new range of heavy forklift trucks. Various industries, from the concrete and natural stone industries, to the steel business, the transportation of heavy goods in the ports and the railway sector are all working with and depending on heavy duty equipment. The power and efficiency offered by the units keep operational costs low and provide the best conditions for economical work. These types of equipment can excel in the most demanding environments.
Offering the necessary power on all of the large capacity models, the Cummins diesel engine varies from 162 horse-power to 250 horse-power. TierIII emission standards are met with the 6 cylinder engines. These kinds of forklifts can take the truck up to a speed of 35 km/h. It has the ability to climb on rough terrain and steep slopes and also provides great acceleration.
In order to choose 1 of 2 driving modes, the operator could use a switch. While in "Power" mode, full power is available for work on tough terrain or heavy loads. In the "STP" mode, the trucks are able to save lots of fuel during light-duty work. Furthermore, simply by pressing a switch, the operator can automatically maintain a selected speed without touching the accelerator pedal. This is an added fuel saving function. The fully automatic transmission of the forklift gently shifts through the gears, making the machinery easy to maneuver and comfortable to operate.
The well-ventilated cabin provides a comfortable and spacious working place. The cabin combines fatigue-free work with high performance. The powerful heating and air conditioning system helps ensure the operator has a comfortable interior. The cab was designed ergonomically to offer a bird's eye view of all of the controls, adding to the overall safety of the unit. An MP3 player and a CD player put the finishing touches on providing the nice atmosphere that Hyundai equipment are supposed to have.
