Aisle Types
Lift trucks are classified due to the types of aisles they have been designed to work in. Narrow Aisle and Wide Aisle lift trucks are designed to turn in the aisle, whereas Very Narrow Aisle trucks actually don't turn within the aisle. There are some aisle widths to consider with various models.
VNA or Very Narrow Aisle trucks work in less than 6 feet places and normally utilize certain guidance systems such as rail, wire or optical systems in order to travel in the aisles. Some various models of VNA trucks comprise Order Selectors, Turret Trucks and Swing Masts. These are popular kinds in tight retail areas and in several warehouse and storage situations.
Narrow Aisle trucks can work in aisles from 8 feet to 10 feet wide. Generally these are stand-up models like Reach Trucks. They are often utilized in storage facilities and warehouses.
The wide aisle forklift is designed to work within aisles more than 8 feet to 10 feet.
Stand-Up Ergonomics
The stand-up ergonomics include "Ergomat" padding with a sloped floorboard that is designed to lessen operator fatigue by absorbing vibration. The operator compartment is spacious and has an 8" low step height which helps reduce overall body exhaustion by easing frequent exit and entry. The unit consists of polyurethane steer tires to absorb vibration and shocks caused by uneven floor in order to allow smooth traveling. For added comfort, there is a floor mat and a cushioned armrest as well as a backrest designed to help keep drivers comfortable and thus more productive while limiting fatigue.
