Optional Accessories for Your Forklift
Audible Devices - Back-Up or Motion Alarms:
Motion alarms and backup alarms are audio device accessories that generate enough sound so that the sound is heard overtop the noises produced from the forklift itself.
The sound generated by the audio device should be discernible from other audible devices or sounds from the work setting. The sound must also be different from the other noise or audible devices within the work area. The audible device can end up contributing to OSHA noise limitation and to employee noise exposure; thus, care should be taken.
Determine the direction and distance the sound of the audible device is made more difficult because of the use of hearing protection. Audible devices could sometimes get deactivated from both workers and operators as they could find them annoying. Additionally, audible devices could also be objectionable to nearby residents.
Additional Application and Operator Options:
Enclosed Operator Cabs: Operator enclosed cabs help to protect the operator from the elements. They utilize tempered glass in order to avoid injuries. Additionally, these cabs feature an emergency exit through removing the window. The levels of noise are lessened at the operator's ear due to additional sound proofing.
Operator Selectable Performance Modes: The operator can choose the performance need for the specific application. As well, it allows a supervisor to set the utmost performance of a unit for an operator who is just beginning to learn. Being able to adjust and reduce the maximum performance of the model enables a new operator to learn the operating features of the machine in a controlled environment.
Impact Monitor: When the impact monitor is disabled, a supervisor is needed to activate and override the unit. This encourages the operator to be sure to manage the machine in a more controlled way.
Dual Rear View and Panoramic Mirrors: These particular mirrors help to assist the operator in observing the operating space behind the vehicle, and their tail swing area.
