The S-boom telescopic booms made by Genie have been equipped with an ability to work in heights of 14.20 meters to 40.15 meters and a reach ranging from 9.65 meters and 24.38 meters. Telescoping booms have a much greater range of reach horizontally as opposed to other kinds of aerial work platforms. Genie telescopic booms are designed with consideration to being able to access tight areas during industrial and construction applications. They are also known for their ability to maneuver through a job site quickly and with great drive speed and traction. The platform turns 160° hydraulically and can stay level through the whole range. Front-entry platforms are available from 1.83 meters to 2.44 meters and come with 227 kilogram to 272 kilogram capacity for operators and tools. 360° continuous rotating turntables provide easy, quick positioning for operators.
The Z-135/70 unit comes equipped with a Jib-Extend, that is a telescoping jib. It extends from 3.66 meters to 6.1 meters. This specific model could also reach 110° vertically to give the user the ability to reach jobs that were unreachable by typical jibs before. A secondary reverse-articulating boom on the Z-80/60 unit gives the user 8.83 meters of over and up reach. This feature enables up and over reaching jobs to be completed with zero front arm swing.
Genie also provides the Fast Mast system that allows for precious time to be saved when both secondary and primary booms need to be lifted or for lowering the platform without having to lower the secondary boom. The Fast Mast system allows both booms to be raised fully simultaneously. Both of these features of the Genie Fast Mast system lessens the time needed for users to descend and ascend, increasing both efficiency and production.
