Hazards of Type-G lift trucks
Forklifts carry out an important part in the operations of warehouses and other businesses. These machines are capable of raising and moving immense loads from one location to another. There are several variations on the forklift. The main variation is the way in which different types of forklifts are fueled. "LP" forklifts are the most common type. They operate on liquid propane. Type "E" lift trucks run on electricity and have large rechargeable batteries. Type "D" lift trucks use diesel and type "G" use gasoline. While all lift trucks, like any piece of heavy machine, could pose a danger, the type of lift trucks which are powered by gasoline carry the most risks.

Fire
Type G lift trucks could present a fire hazard. Gasoline-fueled forklifts are not held to rigorous standards in reducing lessening fire hazards. The biggest cause of fire is due to gasoline leaks that enable gasoline fumes to escape. This could result from accidents and from driving on extremely rough terrain or normal wear. These circumstances pose a danger and could lead to fire. Therefore, a standard Type G forklift should never be utilized in conditions where elevated fire risk is deemed not acceptable. For example, these units should not be utilized around hazardous or explosive chemicals.

Explosion
Gas lift trucks also pose a risk of explosion, as do liquid propane and diesel based forklifts. A gasoline fueled forklift could explode as a result of a serious mishap in circumstances where an ignition source and a gasoline leak are both present. An explosion could occur when sparks are created in the collision and the sparks ignite the gasoline.

Fumes and Exhaust
Due to bad fumes, the gas forklift does pose a risk for inhalation, which could be deadly in higher concentrations. Fumes can result from the exhaust itself or from gasoline leaks. Hence, a Type G forklift is really not recommended for any setting which is poorly ventilated. The exhaust would present a serious danger in enclosed spaces. This particular type of lift truck should be utilized with caution when operated near individuals.
